When you create a new email address or group from within a message where is it stored? Is it duplicated in Contacts also?

How are you creating the new address? (Outlook doesn't use "groups.")

Sorry...."New Distribution List".
I go in to create a New Message, find there is no email address for the person I wish to send to, click on "New", then "New Contact" or "New Distribution List", create it, then go back to bring it up in the list and it doesn't appear there. When I created it I chose to place it in the Outlook Contacts List, and it is also set to Outlook Contacts List for selecting names for sending messages to
The only way I can seem to see them listed, is to create the email address directly in the Contacts folder, then start a new message and I am then able to select it.

And this is what version of Outlook?

Also note: The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote
earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message.
