New Dubbing Products?

I was looking in my Tiger Direct catalog and saw this product. It seems
to send video to a television from your computer. Anyone try any of the
devices? If you can then record to vhs, this device would seem to take
the place of a much more expensive mini-dv vcr deck.

Of course, the quality of the final recording is the question. And there
seems to be several of these devices on the market.

Here's another interesting device. Of course, my concern would be
quality. The max resolution is 720 x 480.

Is that ok?
