I hope you guys can help me out.. I installed a new mouse driver for my
logitech mouse, the newest version for it... and when my computer rebooted,
my task bar was gone, my mouse will only move the arrow around (none of the
buttons work), none of my desktop shortcups appear on the screen, and the
only way to get programs to run is to hit alt-cntrl-del and bring up the
task manager and manually run each file.
When the computer boots up now, it hangs up on "loading personal settings",
and when that window finally goes away, you get what I just described PLUS
the computer runs VERY slow.. the task manager shows explorer.exe is sucking
up 100% of the CPU....
however, if I log off windows and log on under "administrator" instead of my
usual account, "preferred customer", none of this happens, although i'm
dealing with an entirely different set up with my shortcuts, screensaver
settings, etc..
is it possible my new mouse driver SOMEHOW wiped out my personal settings on
my usual user account? how do I undo it or fix it? I already tried a system
restore, and nothing came of it.
HEEEELP!
