New data base

l would like to build a database for Sales, the system
would need to be accessed from various sites around the
country at the same time, data entered and retrived from
the database, what would be the best way to build the
project.

Lots of questions back to you...

How many users? What kind of access capabilities and
limitations? Hard wired T1's or various random internet
access points? Can you count on all users to have the same
version of Access or whatever?

Seriously, you will most likely have to build a secure web
app or something along that line on an Intranet model and,
depending on how many users involved, possibly a SQLServer
or MySQL backend. I would think that a database driven
secure website would be a serious consideration, especially
if the salespeople travel.

There is not enough information here to even begin to answer the question.
How many people, how large a database, what type of access...
