New contacts not showing up

HI,

I find the new contacts I am adding now not appearing in the Address book.
All the older contacts are showing fine. Where could the problem be?

how many contacts folders do you have and are all enabled as address books?
Ctrl+6 to see the full folder list, right click on contacts, choose
properties to see if its enabled as an address book.

How are you adding the contacts?
 
Very sorry Diane.. Was on holiday and missed your response.

The properties of the Contacts folder is not highlighted but shows checked
for Show this folder as Addressbook.

Can I do anything about this?
