New Contacts Not Found

I just upgraded to Office XP and imported my Contacts
from my old machine.

Using the shortcut (F11), I have no problem retrieving
all the contacts I imported, but if I've added a new
contact, it does not retrieve it.

I can view the new contact in by going to it manually and
it is stored alphabetically with all the old contacts. I
just can't locate it by using the shortcut key search
(F11).

HELP!

FOUND IT-----

Right click on the CONTACTS file and then click on
PROPERTIES. Under OUTLOOK ADDRESS BOOK check the box
that says "show this folder as an email address book".

Now all contacts are searched from the address bar
search.

I don't know why it works, but it does.
