Setting up a NEW computer...desktop
What are your thoughts of having "only" my programs on my internal "C" SATA
drive and saving all my personal created information on an "external" SATA
drive?
Thanks for your imput!

It is a good idea to have data on a different drive than the System drive.
If your System drive becomes unreadable you will still have all your data
like music or video files backed up or at least placed on a different drive.
I use removable drives in drawers that nicely slide into drive bays that can
be used for System drive if you want to lock your System that way. If you
have any problems you just slide in a newly backed up OS all ready to go.

Just one of many combinations of external and removable drives to save time
and trouble and have back up.
