I have a new computer from Dell that has Windows Vista installed. I
was installing some programs and updates from my old system, and all
of a sudden my computer crashed and everytime I try to restart it
crashes about 15 seconds into windows. I think there is a problem with
a driver, as before it crashes it says device driver installing, and
then it crashes. Does anyone know how I can reinstall Windows, or
reinstall the device drivers (I have the dvd for this) without
starting Windows? Thanks!

You can boot off the DVD and take the Repair option to see if it can repair
itself. Vista will have compatibility issues with non compliant Vista
software.
