I'm ready to order my motherboard, memory, and processor. I have been
reading this newsgroup for some time, and checking out a lot of websites.
Believe I am going to go with the Asus boards, and want a gig of memory,
with the intel 3.0 or 3.06 processor. My question is this:
If you were ordering your parts and building your computer again, would you
buy higher speed components for a high top end computer, even though it will
be passed over eventually as more sophisticated components come on the
market.
I don't think I need to worry about Sata or Raid, two hard drives at 7200
speed have always been fast enough, most sophisticated think I run probably
is Halflife or Medal of Honor type games.
But there isn't a big jump in price on the motherboards between these
features. Do you think the pnp800 deluxe would be a good board to build on?
Thanks for any suggestions, and please don't be offended if you are a fan of
abit, or intel or something I haven't spoken favorably about.
