Using Outlook 2003

Saved entire Outlook directory from old computer

Installed Outlook 2003 on new computer

Copied saved files onto new computer in same directory

Contacts show in Contacts tab on new computer, no problem

When entering e-mail, press 'TO' button, nothing in list?

I've gone to e-mail accounts, tools, options and removed and added and
removed and added...nothing changes?

Documentation on this issue is confusing. Why isn't there a button that
says "use internal contacts list for e-mail"????? That would be the
user-friendly solution.

Please advise as I this problem has happened every single time I've ever
changed from one computer to another.

Not required.

Wrong thing to do for some of the files and you can corrupt your mail
profile. See

A few seconds searching this newsgroup would have found you one of the
hundreds of other times this question has been asked and answered. You
haven't added the COntacts folder as an address book. Right-click Contacts,
choose Properties, select the Outlook Address Book tab and check "Show this
folder as an e-mail Address Book". If you can't, you'll have to remove the
OAB service from your profile and readd it. Click Tools>E-mail
Accounts>View or change existing directories or address books>Next. Select
Outlook Address Book and click Remove, then Finish. Stop and restart
Outlook. Now add the service back in. Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Add a
new directory or address book>Next. Select Additional Address Books, click
Next, select Outlook Address Book, click Next, then Finish. You may need to
stop and restart Outlook, but you'll be able to select the "Show this
folder..." option I mentioned above.

Brian,

Thank you very much! Yes, I did search this newsgroup for responses anf
found several that were confusing and I tried several of the posted
solutions. They were not as specific and clear as your response, which
worked the very first time I tried it. Thank you again!
