I bought this new computer and it keeps on freezing. I sent it back to store
to have it fixed and they say there is nothing wrong. I asked the person if
he knew anything about this program " Easytune4". He only said that it keeps
computer in good condition. ???
When I got it back it still froze. I removed from the taskbar the Easytune4
and since then my computer or windows and mouse don't freeze up. I guess it
took lots of memory.

What I want to know is, " Is it an important program and will it do
something to my computer now that I am not using it?" I kept it in my
computer; I haven't removed it yet. Should I remove / uninstall this
Easytune4 ? I went to the site and they don't explain how this program
works.

Linsy, EasyTune4 is for Overclocking. It's a Gigabyte Utility. Your
system will work fine without it.
From a FiringSquad review.

Overclocking and EasyTune4
EasyTune4 is meant to bring overclocking to a whole new level of ease, all
while within a Windows environment. In addition to frequency adjustment,
EasyTune4 also offers hardware monitoring. In its current iteration,
EasyTune4 does this job somewhat admirably. For instance, the 1MHz bus
adjustments found in BIOS are maintained in EasyTune4's interface, while
CPU, memory, and AGP voltages can be adjusted as well. In addition to these
settings, EasyTune4 also offers the selectable memory bus ratio we just
discussed in BIOS. Everything sounds good right?

Unfortunately, when it came time to overclock with EasyTune4, we just weren'
t able to match the same overclocking success we were able to achieve in
BIOS: we made sure that we adjusted the memory ratio and CPU voltage, but
despite these falling in line with the same settings we entered in BIOS,
EasyTune4 just couldn't quite pull it off, the system would reboot. For now
we'll just be sticking with BIOS for overclocking, where we were able to
overclock our processor to 3.51GHz, a whopping 500MHz overclock!

I got easyTune4 with my computer it comes with a gigabyte motherboard just
uninstall it wont make any differents to your computer if its on or not its
mainly for overclocking etc as far as i worked out

It's a damned awful prog! Lose it is my advice. We never intall it when we
use Gigabyte boards. If the customer wants to overclock he does so at
his/her risk and invalidates the warranty. Why a system builder would
install it is beyond me, unless it's a quick get-out of warranty claims...

Thank you for the info. I will remove the Gigabyte Easytune4 from my
computer today.
