My new Media Center computer has no 3.5" floppy drive.

I have some old computers with floppy drives in them.

If I removed a floppy drive from one of those computers, what would be
the simplest way to hook it up to this new computer? (HP m7250n)

Thanks for any info.

Lew

Purchase an external floppy drive.

Physically install in computer, provided there is a place for it. Attach
ribbon cable to motherboard FDC, attach power connector, enable in bios.

Does your computer have a floppy drive cable connector on the motherboard?
Do you have a 3.5" slot available in the case? If yes to the first question,
and no to the second, there are 5.25" floppy drive adaptors available. There
are also external usb floppy drives available, which would be the easiest
solution provided you are willing to spend the 30-40 dollars.

The computer you purchased has no external access in the case for a floppy.
You cannot add an internal floppy drive to the computer. As suggested by
Carey, you will need to purchase an external USB floppy drive.

FWIW, I would copy all data on floppy to CD, immediately. Floppy disks are
notoriously untrustworthy for storing data on, and are all but useless in
today's world.

a) Look into the old computer and then hook it up the same.
b) Go into the BIOS setup, enable FDD onboard controller.
c) Set it to 3 1/2 --144
d) Set boot order to 1 floppy 2 CDROM 3 harddisk.
e) Reboot.
(make sure that the computer is completly unplugged)

Hey Fitz Is there a way to get a Dell with XP to recognize both A and
drives from a dual floppy. I have an Epson SD 800 that fits very well i
the case and load of 5 1/4 floppies that need copying. Thank
