I just bought a new Gateway computer and am trying to set
up my e mail acct. with Outlook Express. I have used
Outlook Express for almost three years. I have my
addresses, past sent messages and a number of folders
with saved information.
Two Questions:
1. I log on to outlook express and have only my new mail
and none of my old folders or address book. Q Can I
retrieve the former outlook express account information
or do I have to re-enter it all?

2. When I receive an e mail with an attachement, I click
on the envelope for the attachment and the title shows
however, I cannot open it. If I send it to my office
account on Yahoo, the attachment opens fine. This did
not happen with my former account on outlook express.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to import your old messages and address book from
your old Outlook Express setup, if you've backed them up.

Check the security settings under your Options menu.

BTW - This group is for support of Outlook, not Outlook Express.
