New comp - CD/DVD help !!!

Hello if you read my other thread you would know that i have made another thread on a new computer ...

Anywayz ... just inserted the MOBO disc for the drivers ... nothing happens ?!?! lol

I am using my m8's old CD drives from before ... but my m8 says they might be a bit knakered ... :S 2 years old !!!

Shall i just buy new CD and DVD drives ?!?!
 
When you say nothing happens, do you mean the drive does not even try to read the disc (light flashes/comes on, drive spins up etc?)

When you look in the drive's folder, ( i.e. F:\ or E:\ or D:\) does it say something like this: "Please insert a disk in Drive E:\"
 
It's all fixed now m8y lol

I just bought new cd drive for him did the trick nicely lol :)

But thanx for your input hehe
