After apply KB916281, some Javascript programs stop works even use standard
js lib. We must shut down some functions on our web site to avoid user's IE
crash. A lot of web site does not work especialy with the sites use Ajax, eg,
maps.google.com. IE keeps crash again and again. Any idea on this issue?

OS: Windows 2000 SP4 ie6.2800/2900

Hi Tom
Yes I read that article some four hours ago, plus all the links from it,
until I got so bloody dizzy from going round in circles, I finished up like
the 'twirly-whirly bird'.
Having read about 916281, if I did get one bit of sense from all the
articles, is that it is connected with another recent update i.e. 917344.
But I do not have this 916281 offered to me. This is what is so stupid with
this current updating. It is becoming a nightmare.
I don't think I will bother with them.
One or more is sure to cause problems for me like the last time.

If you're waiting for Automatic Updates to bring in all of the June patches,
it may take 7+ days.

Hi PA
Well plenty of others seem to have 916281 in the recent batch.
I suppose I could always go in and get it myself.
But I still do not see what this connection is between 916281 and 917344 -
they appear to have been issued only a few days apart or have I read this
all incorrectly.
I am sure that 916281 must be installed before 917344??
Some of the wording in the articles appear to me to be a bit ambiguous.
I think I can wait a couple more days

Have /any/ of the Jun-06 updates been offered you? Is Automatic Updates
enabled (see below)?

The critical updates MS06-021 and MS06-023 were both released on 13 Jun-06:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-jun.mspx

All of the Jun-06 updates may be installed concurrently; a reboot is
required.

Hi again PA
Sorry but similar matters are discussed in different groups - I have a
fuller and prob. clearer explanation under 'Update Havoc' in general.
Would you mind sticking with that thread.
