When I launch a new browser window (IE6)from a link the
window is not full screen. How can I set to have new
browser windows launch in full screen?

Thanks,

This has been a quirk of Internet Explorer for at least the last two
versions (5 and 6).

It's pretty easy to control the dimensions of the parent window of IE and
the setting is remembered from one use to the next.

"New windows" use different dimensions and these are stored separately from
those of the main "parent" window. Maximize and Full Screen are not
options. As close as you can get to Maximize with these windows is to
resize the window.

To set this up, close all other browser windows except the "new window"
that you want to resize. Use the mouse or the keyboard to stretch the
window as close to the desktop edges as possible. Use File> Close or press
Ctrl while clicking the X button in the upper right hand corner.

Hi,

1. Open a link.
2. Don't use the maximize button.
3. Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
4. Close all other IE windows.
5. Close the stretched window last.

However, the above procedure is not equivalent to SHOWMAXIMIZED API call.
Best option is to use "IE New Window maximizer"

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1746
(Uses Windows API calls and automatically maximizes every browser window you
open)
