new bootup screen

Suddenly I have a new screen showing at bootup. It ask if want to start
windows normally or open the security console. After about 5 sec. t
defaults to a normal startup. How do I get rid of this screen... it was
not showing until a few days ago.

Hmm... Okay...

WinKey + Pause Break (or system applet from the control panel)
Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery Settings
First try removing the time to display a list of operating systems (set the
value to 0 or untick the box entirely)

If that doesn't work then go back in and click the edit button. When you
open that you'll be editing the boot.ini so be careful if you make this
choice. In there remove the line, and JUST the line, about the security
console. This should, coupled with the above, clear that up. For more
