You guys must be used to this by now. :D

Download Page

Windows: 5.8.16

How to install.

1. Exit BOINC, and check its not running in task Manager.
2. Install the new version over the top of the old one. No need to uninstall the old version and you will not loose any work. It will just carry on from the old one.

Already running that on the Old Girl (XP) ... still does not "fix" the problem I have though. ;)

I may try 5.9.3 and see if that is any better.

Oh, any idea if this is Vista ready/compatable/mayevenrunonce ...

Yup, I did Spezi ... I been using 5.8.16 on XP before it became final, but it didn't "cure" the problem with the Old Girl & XP.

Gonna put OpenSuse 10.2 back on the Old Girl tomorrow ... it seems to be the only OS she likes. :D

With Ady's permission, I'll put XP on the MJW pc ... XP, or Windows, seems to give better returns/points than Linux ... we will see. :thumb:

You don't need my permission Mucks - do whatever you feel necessary, I'm always thankful for the way you look after him :thumb:

Allegedly the latest Linux Boinc client was supposed to give parity with Windows on the points front, no idea if thats true or not though.....
