New Avast interface

History Fan

I had to format my computer's hard drive today, and when I reinstalled
Avast 4.6, I discovered a completely new interface. So far, the new menu
appears to be an improvement, since all the settings are there in front of
you. With previous versions, you had to search for them.
 
I'm referring to the interface that is launched when you click the
avast! Antivirus desktop icon.

That's the default "skin", called silver panel. Look at the menu
under "Select skin..." and try the others or download some more.

Or try "no skin" by unchecking the box that enables skins in Program
Settings. Never been much of a skins fan (i.e. weird rounded graphics) here,
just confuses to me - like to keep it simple & square.

Heh. That works, not as pretty as a skin but simple and
straightforward.
