New ATI Radeon 4.9 drivers

Seem to have given UT 2004 a FPS boost but otherwise lost a couple FPS
in D3 and just a little pointage in the benchmarks (3dM03 and AquaM3) -
for what that's worth. I tried the new command center panel in the 4.8
set - have gone back to the original.

By the way, new UT2004 map ONS-Dinora is some nice work (from Hourences)
- release was good timing too for a before and after run to compare your
old drivers to these new ones (if you're into UT at all).

Just an addendum... this is for Windows XP. The other Windows drivers
are still on version 4.7.

What driver would I need for 98SE and ATI Radeon 7500 with tv-out. ATI
support centre told me to install the latest catalyst driver because my
tv-out ceased to work but it still doesn't work. Is it possible that my OS
is playing havoc with the videocard?

could you please help me?

Go to their website. They have a separate link for the Windows 98
drivers. Choose your card and OS and they have the driver that fits.

TV Out doesn't work unless there is a DC path to ground on the
composite video output - even if using S-Video. So get a 75 ohm
resistor and connect it to composite out. If you are already using
composite out, a higher resistance resistor in parallel might work.

Tv-out did work before, to perfection i might add, it's just that for
some reason it stopped doing that and I'm trying to find out why and
how to repair it. I always have to force the connection to the tv and
when I do that the tv icon shows green but i still can get no image on
the tv.
