Hi,
I'm planning to start a new application, which will take more or less two
months to develop.
The question is, can I start developing it using the 2.0 beta version, and
upgrade to the stable version when it is released, with minor changes, or
better stick to the 1.1 version?

When will the 2.0 final version be out (aprox.)?

Thanks!
Arnau.

What's the target? If you're targeting Windows CE.NET 4.x devices other
than Pocket PC 2003, or if you're targeting Pocket PC 2002 or 2000, you have
to stick with 1.1. 2.0 will only be supported with CE 5.0 and Pocket PC
2003.

You can do either. 2.0 is going to have a lot of new features and
capabilities. If you don't care about any of the the new features, though,
you might as well stick with 1.1 for now, since it's already released. If
you need stuff that's in 2.0, then, obviously, that's what you have to use.

I would recommend using CF V2 as it simplifies development and offers
performance advantages.

Beta 2 is already out so you can start your development now.

If CF V2 is not released by the time you're done, you can get a "go live"
license for Beta 2.

CF runtime is traditionally stable; there were numerous deployments on beta
versions (both V1 and V2 beta 1).

Best regards,

Ilya
