I am having the same problem as Twist (from 2/22/10 5:09pm,see below). I
have three identities set up and
tried to set up another the same way but this time I get a window from
Windows Security asking for my user name and password, I enter that and the
window says "Authorizing" for a second and then back to the security window.
If I cancel that I get:
Account: 'postoffice.worldnet.att.net (3)', Server:
'postoffice.worldnet.att.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR login
failed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number:
0x800CCC92
Secure Password Auth is not checked and AV is disabled.
Very frustrating, Please help,Thanks in advance

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Make sure that "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" is not
enabled.
If that setting was already unchecked, which antivirus are you running?
Some of them cause problems with Windows Mail over time.
