New 2003 Player

I have downloaded the new Power Poin 2003 player file.

After installing I get an error message:
<msiexec.exelippviewer.msi/qbt>
system can not find file specified

I am using Windows 98 second edition. The download site
does say the player is compatable with Win 98 SE !

I have downloaded the file a few times incase it was a
corrupted download but no success.

Gary, can you give us the exact message? The quote you gave us seems to be
all run together.

I have given the exact message as seen in the error window
when trying to install. I have retyped it here and it is
in two lines:

The microsoft Download site mentions to install MSI (Installer Update) on
Win98 sytems:

To install [Powerpoint 2003 Viewer] on a computer running Windows 98 Second
Edition (SE):
1.. Install the updated Windows installer for Windows 98.
2.. Restart your computer.
3.. Follow the installation instructions in the section above.

That one you can find here:

Have you done so?

Player is now installed and running OK.
I had forgotten to instal the installer !!

Thanks so much, TW! I had the Viewer from my install of Office 2003, so I
had not downloaded it and hadn't noticed that message. I will now try to
remember the special step for Windows 98SE!
