neverwinter nights will not play

I installed the game and when i went to play it a window
poped up saying the i need to have windows 2000 service
pack 2 or newer to play. i had it installed and played it
before . I am running XP home sp1 isn't that newer than
2000 sp2 ?
 
NWN definitely works on XP. Make sure you've got the latest patch
installed.
