never finds spyware

i too have a problem with the anti spyware by MS it has
never found any. yet when i run yahoo's it always finds
20 to 40 instances. so what's the answer?

It would always help with posts like this if you could
post exactly what the other removers found. Yahoo Antispy
is probably detecting cookies especially with you saying
20 to 40 are found.

MS Antispy in its current form doesnt scan for cookies.
If you never get spyware detections this is a good thing
and means your system is clean but if you feel MS Antispy
is missing something which Yahoo detects and this is
Spyware/Adware and not a cookie then please post more
information on this.

Look, these are tracking cookies, are they not? Ad-aware
pulled out 122 of them after I had been running
Microsoft's since it was first available. Your
implication here is that the person who complained wasn't
doing his homework. On the contrary, if this program has
such a narrow definition of spyware that it blithely
allows tracking cookies into the system, I think that
should be more carefully disclosed IN CAPITAL LETTERS
that it doesn't do much. I understand that it is
currently free. Now I see why.

Do the "Full System Scan" twice AFTER turning off System
Restore and restarting the pc.
