Definition Update 1.14.1288.5 for BETA Windows Defender (KB915597)

MY WD does not work because of the Error 0X80010534...

And now I update and restart the computer but It still asking to update
againg, with he same file!

Same thing. Although the Windows Upgrade installed the latest definitions, WD
resports that the definitions are 15 days old!

uninstall first and install again (by right side mouse) AS_Sigs.MSI in
Windows defender folder - works fine with me (XPSP2 and 2K) ...

You mean Windows UPDATE right?

It stoped I followed those insctrunctions:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=915105

But... I went to windows update againg, and the uptade still there.. now I'm
installing the update again... to see what will happen... if the problem
continues I will tell you...

the biggest problem is that Error 0X80010534...
.....

Ooops... It is happening again.. so if you follow those steps in my previous
message, you can't upadate this kb915597 again, or the never ending update
restart.

Aline,

Instructions at the MS site worked for me. It upgraded the to
newer defn. file and it is working fine. But I had to stop WD engine before I
removed it using task manager.

Thank you for the help. MS should have put this KB article on WD
site. There is no help about this on the site.

I had "never ending update problem" with XPSP2 and 2K. I fixed it by first
uninstalling AS_Sigs.MSI in Windows defender folder and reinstalling it again
(both by right side mouse), ... no more "never ending updates" and WD works
just fine ...

worked for me thanks
