Help... strangest problem! The client workstation can
logon server using the AD user account but when trying to
access the server folders it acts like the account hasn't
logged on. An error message "There are currently no logon
servers available to service the logon request." is
displayed.

If I use a command prompt and type
NET USE \\server /user:name
the command succesfully completes and all shared server
folders are available.

The AD user account has no password and does not run any
logon scripts, etc. when logon attempts are made.

Please help!
Thanks.

Adding onto the original post :
Using any other machine to logon this account works just
fine. The issue appears to be machine specific but we're
trying to avoide reformating the drive. Thanks again.

Just a guess, but is the workstation's time in sync with the network?
Also, with logon auditing enabled on the target system, what does its
Security log say when you try to map the drive?

Thanks for reply. Event logs only system and application
events. Security log is clean.

System event - Source: MRxSmb Event ID:3034
The redirector was unable to initialize security context
or query context attributes.

Application event - Source: Userenv Event ID:1000
Windows cannopt obtain the domain controller name for your
computer network.

Client is not setup for time sync nor mapping yet. We only
use Net Use since Client logon doesn't properly connect to
server. It is workstation specific since other
workstations can properly logon server with same user
account.

Thanks
