Hi I keep reading that there is a bug with the Unattend.xml using the
Networklocation. I there a confirmation somewhere about this? There also a
work arround to modify the registry, but that workarround does NOT seems to
be working eather.

Is there other bugs like this. I'm also trying to bypass the "choose a user
name and picture" bit I can not bypass that windows either.

Well, I can't give you anywhere to go to confirm it, but I've
experienced the NetwrokLocation bug and have seen references to it out
on the internet - you might try Google. I haven't had a chance yet to
try the workarounds, but will likely do so soon.

I don't know what other bugs are there, but I'm sure there are some.
Again, you might try Google.

I've succeeded in bypassing the choose a user name and picture, but the
only way I've been able to is to create (or modify) a user. The
"skipping choose a user name unattend.xml" thread might give you some
help, as might http://www.minasi.com/newsletters/nws0701a.htm and
http://www.minasi.com/newsletters/nws0702a.htm

I spoke too soon - I just found what looks to be another bug: The Logo
setting in the OEMInformation section of the
Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup component in the oobeSystem pass doesn't
appear to work. The other settings appear to, but for some reason this
one doesn't (and yes, the logo file specified does exist). I used
<Logo>c:\windows\system32\oobe\MyLogo.bmp</Logo> and made sure that
MyLogo.bmp was in c:\windows\system32\oobe, but the logo that was
already specified in the image before sysprep was run was still in use.

By the way, which fix for the NetworkLocation bug did you try?

Dave
