How will networking work in Vista? I've heard it's been changed. Will it
work with XP computers?

Thanks.

It does right now: my test computer is on Vista, the work one is on XP Pro,
and with build 5308 I can share folders both ways, which didn't work with
the previous build unless I disabled the firewall on Vista.

I've made a sharing for my girlfriend to backup some data, but she
can't write-access it, even if, when I mount it as a network share, I
set "log on as a different user" and I give "VISTACOMPUTER\mylogin" /
my_password.
And for my HD media player (DVico Tvix M5000-U), which needs a share to
access movies on my computer (if i've not put them in the integrated
hard disk), it needs Guest account to access the share. But even if
I've enabled Guest account, allowed Network sharing in Vista FW, set
all the rights to Guest on this shared folder, (and even if I disable
the firewall), the player can't access the share, it seems unable to
even see the share, while if I reboot to XP, where I've done the same
things, there's no problem at all.
I'd like to make it work with Vista, so I would not have to reboot to
XP sometimes.

Christophe
