I already have my network up and running, now I have another 3rd party
network in my office to connect to them for doing some processing.
They are a complete different network then my internal, is it possible
to hook them into my switch and have that network talk to my internal
network at all?

You'll need a router between the 2 networks for that.

Okay, I am not exactly sure how to set that up. My network is a little
hard to explain. I hope this little diagram helps..

[Location A Server]
| |
10.X.X.X 172.X..X.X
nic1 nic2
| |
[Location A Patch Panel]------------[HUB]-------[ROUTER]--------**[NEW
NETWORK]**
|
[Location A
Switch]--------------------------------------------------------------
| |
|
(r o u t e r) {workstations}
{workstations}
| | 10.X.X.X
172.X.X.X
INET T1(to Location B)

I need the **[NEW NETWORK]** to connect into [LOCATION A
SWITCH]....what is needed to be done.

thanks

Ooops. That didnt come out quite right.

How would I add this other network thats seperate right now from our
internal network to plug into the switch and speak to the server and
the other locations?

You can't plug into the switch. You need a router between your network and
the "other network" and routes between:

[server]---nic1(10.x.x.x)----nic1(172.x.x.x) |
[Patch Panel]
|
[S W I T C H]----------------------------------
| | |
| (Desktops) (Desktops)
| 172.x.x.x 10.x.x.x.
|
|
|
| Router-B -----Other Network
| |
Router-A------------------------------------
| |
Internet T1 Line
Connection to other office

Router A will need a route to the Other Network via router B and vice versa.

....kurt

[server]---nic1(10.x.x.x)----nic1(172.x.x.x)
| |
[Patch Panel]---->[[HUB]]<----[[ROUTER]]
| |
| ((DESKTOPS))
| 10.25.x.x
|
[S W I T C H]-----------------------
| |
| (Desktops)
| 10.x.x.x.
|
[Router]------------------------------------
| |
Internet T1 Line
Connection to other office

Thats how our network is right now. I need to have these two networks
talk each other and the server. Help me.

So what is the first router doing?? (The one plugged into the HUB)

Here is a simplified version of what you need. You can't just plug both
sides into a switch and have them talk. The network layout you gave is kind
of confusing. Of note, you don't need to list the patch panel.

Network A
PCs--------->HUB/Switch------>RouterA<---->RouterB------>HUB/Switch<----Network B PCs

The router that's plugged into its own hub is a distinct network that
allows us to communicate to the PA department of transportation.

IF you want you can email me at (e-mail address removed) for some diagrams
and a complete explanation of how our network, works. It is a little
confusing if you cant see it.

No need for that. Regardless of what you have in place now, the bottom line
is you must have a router setup between the 2 networks for them to talk. If
you don't, you need to get one.....if you already have a router in place, you
need to setup the right routes.
