can anyone tell me how i can connect my window me computer
to my windows xp computer?

My Windows XP computer can see my Windows me Laptop, but
the Laptop cannot see the XP computer.

Turn off XPs built-in firewall.
 
your win xp may have a firewall. to disable it right
click the local area connections in the network click
propterties click the advanced tab and uncheck the
firewall.

or

see what file system your using if win me is using fat32
and win xp is using ntfs you cant see the winxp computer
on the win me but you can (and did) do it the other way
around.

thats about all i know soo good luck!
 
Can the ME machine ping the XP machine? Does the ME
machine/user have a login on the XP machine?
