I need help (in more ways than one): The office where I am is using XP Pro
and the computers are set up peer to peer. We need to use one computer as a
central area for data storage so I need to map a drive from all users to
this one. I have changed the workgroup name on that one to match the others
and shared the C drive. From my computer, I can see that computer if I view
the workgroup but I can't access it to map a drive to it. I am getting an
access denied/permissions type error. I am set up with administrator
status.

I'm sure that there must be some little thing I am not doing, but for the
life of me I can't figure it out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Kim

when you share the c dirve in XP remebr by default the
share permisosns and the ntfs permsiosn are most
restrictive plz go and check that the share premisson and
ntfs permisons are set to full control for evryone u want
to access the mapped drive or just set it to domain users
or evryone but remember setting it to everyone will cause
a hole in your network security
