I was told that in winxp home you can only network up to
5 computers and with xp pro you can network as many as
you want. Does this hold true? Ive never heard of this
difference between home and xp. ace
 
A computer running XP Home Edition allows a maximum of 5 other
computers to connect to its shared resources simultaneously. A
computer running XP Professional allows a maximum of 10 other
computers to connect to its shared resources simultaneously.

Computers that aren't actively connected to a computer's shared
resources don't count against the limit. When a computer disconnects
from a shared resource, it no longer counts against the limit. See
