Hi ng,
trying to connect my desktops:
- a switch (4 ports)
- a win2k professional: used to connect to wwww.
(network card and a allied tenysion usb card for
internet)
- a win xp home: I can ping the win2k, i can use the
internet connection, but i can't find the win2k in the
explorer (both same workgroup), can' exchange data,
i can play age of emp.
- a win 98 laptop: can't see the win 2k, can't use the
internet, can't exchange data.

the fun is, it was working once (well, once upon a time)
but now i can' figure out, was is wrong?

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup and that all useraccounts
exist on all w2k and xp-boxes.
Else, give the IPCONFIG /All from those.
