networking xp pro to win98

Hi.

Im trying to network my laptop to my old pc but im having
problems networking xp to 98 I have done everything i can
think of and installed NetBEUI on xp done all my clients
and setup printer access etc etc but my computers just
wont talk to each other... can someone help or tell me
where i can get step by step information for networking

Remove NetBEUI from both computers. Nothing in Windows networking
requires it, and using more than one protocol is likely to cause
network problems.

Run XP's Network Setup Wizard on both computers. It will make all the
necessary network settings. Start here:
