Networking XP Pro and Win2000

Hi everyone

I am wondering if someone can help me out. I've been through all the books
and all the help stuff and everything is "supposedly" correct but my two
computers still can't see each other.

I have set them up as a workgroup. I have the 2000 machine automatically
getting an IP address, I have the XP one set up to share folders, printers
and internet connection and yet still nothing....

Is there something specific I need to do to get these two puters to see each
other?

On the WinXP PC, create local user account(s), with password(s),
that have the desired access privileges to the desired shares. Log on
to the other PCs using those account(s), and you will be able to
access the designated shares, provided your network is configured
properly. Also, make sure that WinXP's built-in firewall
is disabled on the internal LAN connection.

On the Win2K PC, create local user account(s), with password(s),
that have the desired access privileges to the desired shares. Log on
to the other PCs using those account(s), and you will be able to
access the designated shares, provided your network is configured
properly.

Usually, WinXP's Networking Wizard makes it simple and painless --
almost entirely automatic, in fact. There's a lot of useful,
