I had (operative word had!) a wireless network going with
an XP-home as the host and two windows 98s going thru
it. I got a new computer running XP-pro and tried to
bring it up on the wireless network. I finally got it
running with the XP home as server, XP pro machine
communicating thru it to the internet, but as soon as I
brought up the first 98 machine, the network went down.
Any hints on how to get all four talking to the
internet? Thanks!

One computer screw up the network
Symptoms: you have a workgroup network and most computers are win9x, NT and
ME. After you add XP computer into the network, you can't browse other
computers in workgroup list.
Resolutions: This is mostly like master browser issue. The simple solution
is stopping Computer Browser service on the XP. To stop Computer Browser
service, go to the Computer Management>Services and Applications>Services.
