Networking Xp and ME

I have a XP and an ME machine and i would like to network
them. I have heard that this combination will not work. If
it will i would like to know how to set up my network. I
only want to be able to share files and play games across
the 2 computers, they will not share internet connections.
If you can help me please do. Thank you
 
The basics are that they both need to be on the same
workgroup and share the same ip subnet. If you dont have a
hub use a cross over cable.
 
Thanks for the help but I have no idea what you are
talking about. Are there any website that I could go to
and get more help on this subject?

Yes you can network any windows version to any other without problems. Try
