I'm having a problem similar to Eric Smith's. I have a
network (through a Linksys router) that consists of 3 98
machines and one XP home. The 98 machines can see each
other (although not in the Network Neighborhood), but none
of them can see the XP. The XP, on the other hand, can
see the 98 machines. The strangest thing of all is that,
before I moved, they could all see each other. The only
difference is that I have a different cable modem ISP.

Any ideas or suggestions? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

1. Permanently disable XP's built-in Internet Connection Firewall on
local area network connections -- it's for use only on a direct modem
connection to the Internet. Disable and un-install all other
firewalls while troubleshooting. Details here:

Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall

2. Use only one protocol for File and Printer Sharing. If the network
needs more than one protocol, unbind File and Printer Sharing from all
but one of them. Details here:

Windows XP Network Protocols

3. Make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on all computers.
Details here:
