Networking XP and 2k

Easy, how do you do it? What all should I have installed,
and how should 2k or xp be configured for them to see each
other? I have file sharing on, what else? No problem
with win95 and 98, but can't get these two computers to
see each other.

Make sure that you have the same user accounts on both 2K & XP PC's.

Gregg also make sure you have netbois turned on both
machines then you will see them in My network places.
 
Gregg what I mean by this is that netbios over tcp/ip
must be on or you will not see the computers in My
network place. Right click My network place | properties
|tcp | properties click advance buttom on the bottom
click WINS tab and make sure that it is enabled
 
The same user accounts as in they just need to be created,
or what you'd log in as. For Win2k I always log in as
administrator, and we're both admin's on XP.
 
Don't forget to turn OFF the firewall in XP.
