Hello,
I'm running Windows XP on my laptop and Windows 2000
Server on a desktop. I have a wireless router between the
two - the laptop has a wireless nice 802.11b and the
server is ethernet connected to the router. Until 2 days
ago I had no problems connecting to my server from my
laptop. I applied the new worm patch updates to both,
rebooted and found I was unable to see or connect to my
server shares from my laptop. I have tried hooking an
ethernet cable to the laptop and I still cannot see or
connect to the shares. I can however see and connect from
the server to the shares on my laptop. I've run the
wizard on XP for connecting a home network and done every
combination I can think of - nothing works. Any thoughts?
Both are connected as WORKGROUP and have the needed
TCP/IP NETBIOS and File Sharing protocols/clients. I even
rebuilt the laptop in hopes that would do it - but no
such luck.
HELP!!
