I am trying network my Windows XP with Windows 2000 for
file sharing. When I set up my Windows XP network, it
required me to install a small file into each of the
computers that are going to network with. So, I tried to
install it into my Windows 2000, but an error message
stated that XP can only be network with Windows
95/98/XP. I would be appreciated if any of you know how
to perform this networking.

Yes, XP's Network Setup Wizard won't run on Windows 2000.
Fortunately, it's never necessary to run the Wizard on any computer,
in spite of what it tells you.

Configure Windows 2000 to obtain an IP address automatically, and set
its workgroup name to the workgroup name that XP uses (default name is
MSHOME).
