Can someone tell me how to setup a network with an existing Windows XP Pro
network? Vista will set up a network but it will not let me access my
existing network (i.e Vista sets up a network called "Workgroup" but will
not let me access the network named "MSHOME").

TIA

Open Control Panel (click Classic View) > System > under "Computer Name,
Domain, and Workgroup Settings > click "Change settings" link > click
"Computer Name" (tab) > click the "Change..." button > under Workgroup: type
in MSHOME > OK > OK. Restart your system. Also, you might want to make sure
your Computer name is unique on the network.

It's no different than adding a computer running XP to your existing
network. Right-click My Computer, select Properties, then select Network.
Select Network ID, then Change. You *only* need to change the name of your
workgroup to match the existing XP workgroup you want to join. The computer
name should NOT be the same one that computer (if you dual-boot) uses when
running Windows XP. I'm in the same situation (broadband cable modem behind
a router, dual-booting XP and Vista 5381).
