Hi

Are there any known issues networking XP with 98? I using a 10/100 switch. I have a database on the 98 PC that I want to share with the XP box.

Thanks

All versions of Windows can network with each other. Be sure to use
the same, single network protocol for File and Printer Sharing on all
computers. Unless you have a specific reason to use something else,
use TCP/IP, and make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on XP:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the local area network connection and click Properties.
3. Double click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
4. Click Advanced.
5. Click WINS.
6. Click the Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP button.

Disable XP's Internet Connection Firewall on the local area network
connection. It's for use only on a direct modem connection to the
Internet.
