Networking with 1394 adapter

I want to set a 1394 adapter network between a laptop and a desktop which
are both running Windows XP Pro. What's the procedure to follow?

1394 is a Firewire adapter. It can be use for limited Networking but it is
Not a real match to Ethernet Networking.
