networking winxp to win 2000 pro ms 100 base station

I upgraded to win 2000 pro from win 98 2nd edition. I
lost all my network settings Unable to connect to
internet. Shoul I reset ms base station clone Mac
address. or should I set up anew network on my server
the xp desk top

None of the above. Why not duplicate the working settings from your
existing computer onto the newly-upgraded one?
