networking windows 95 to XP

How do I network windows XP to windows 95? when I try the
95 doesnt recognise XP

The most likely cause of this is that you have XP's Internet Connection
Firewall enabled (it's enabled by default).

Control Panel | Network Connections | Local Area Connection Properties |
Advanced | Uncheck "Protect My Computer"

You would only need it enabled for a dial-up modem connection.

I've been wrestling with the same problem for some time,
and if is not the firewall because that is disabled. Any
help would be appreciated.
 
I am having exactly the same problem - XP will see
machines with 98 or above but not 95. The 95 will see all
other machines but not XP.
 
I have the same problem - it will reconise anthing over 95
but not 95 - I will look out for any answers.
