Hey guys and gals,
Seems like the only time I ever contribute to this forum is when I've got a problem. Oh well, I will endeavour to try harder in the future.
Anyways, i've spent several hours trying to set up my home network using windows help and the hundreds of posts in this forum and i'm still having trouble. I'm starting to think its just me, lol.
I have one Desktop PC and two Laptop PCs.
Desktop:
Vista Home Basic
Dell Dimension E521 32-bit OS
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.30 GHz
2046 MB RAM
Laptop 1:
Vista Home Premium
Dell XPS M1530
Intel CORE2 Duo CPU T8300 2.40 GHz
3070 MB RAM
Laptop 2:
XP Professional
Compaq Presario 2100
Intel...
768 MB RAM
Basically, I want to be able to wirelessly connect to a public (shared house) linksys router for the internet from each PC at all times and be able to access all files on each PC from any PC via a different router either wirelessly or via ethernet cable.
I've tried loads of different ways and met loads of different problems so it may be quicker if you guys could suggest the 'best' way of doing this.
Not so bothered about the XP PC; its about to give up the ghost anyway.
Thanks as ever,
Dan
