Networking Vista and XP

My old computer has XP pro. The new one has Vista Home premium. I just
bought a new router, Linksys EXZS55W. Can't get the two to talk. Is the
router incompatible? Is their a fix?
Help!!

Then look at issues that involve Vista and XP together.

And look at logs from "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server",
and "net config workstation", from each computer, so we can diagnose the

that is a switch and not a router. you need a router to supply DHCP
addresses to the computers on your network. what is the switch
connected to? a broadband modem? which modem?
