networking using wizard

I have 2 computers going in to a linksys router then to a
dsl modem, Win XP on both. When using the network wizard,
which configuration do I use. When I use the one that most
resembles mine it says it does not recomend this one and
it never works. Please help, I need a step by step.

You have a broadband router, which the Wizard calls a "residential
gateway". Choose this option: "This computer connects to the Internet
through another computer on my network or through a residential
gateway."

I suspect that you chose this option, which doesn't fit your
configuration: "This computer connects to the Internet directly or
through a network hub. Other computers on my network also connect to
the Internet directly or through a hub."
